Hollywood producer Polly Platt has died aged 72 in New York. Her daughter Sashy Bogdanovich said that, she died on Wednesday of a form of motor neurone disease. Polly Platt leaves three grandsons and two daughter.
Polly Platt was born in lllinois and studied at Carnegie Institute of Technology in Pittsburgh and then she started costume designing.
Polly Platt worked with her husband Boganovich before divorce as a set designer on films including The Picture Show
After divorce in 1971, they maintained a professional relationship on hit films. Polly Platt was known for her long professional relationship with director James L Books and was executive vice-president of his production company Gracie Films.
In the 80s Polly Platt presented Brooks with a cartoon strip written by the Matt Groening, who will later go on to create The Simpsons. Brooks went on to become a long-standing writer on The Simpsons series.

Hollywood most famous movie Harry-Potter's eight and final part getting huge success all over the world. Harry-Potter have earned more then seven billion $.
Dan Fellman, Warner Bros. Pictures President of Domestic Distribution said that, it's a stunning achievement.
Warner Bros. Pictures made all eight of the Harry Potter movies parts which are closely based on the seven novels by British author Joanne Rowling.
The studio decided to split the final book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows into two movies, the second of which hit theatres on July 15. It's the first of the boy wizard stories to be available in 3-D format
Dan Fellman said that, Warner had also reached the $1 billion box office mark in North America for the 11th straight year.
According to sources Warner Bros gave the following global box office grosses for the Harry Potter movies:
- Harry Potter and the Philosopher's (Sorcerer's) Stone (2001) - $974,755,371
- Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" (2002) - $878,979,634
- Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" (2004) - $796,688,549
- Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" (2005) - $896,911,078
- Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" (2007) - $939,885,929
- Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" (2009) - $934,416,487
- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1" (2010) - $955,417,476
- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2" (2011) - $640,200,000 after first week of release.

Vancouver, (ANI): Katie Holmes visited hubby Tom Cruise in Vancover, dashing media reports that their marriage is on the rocks. Holmes arrived quietly in Hollywood North earlier this week to spend time with Cruise, who is in town filming Mission Impossible 4. Their daughter, Suri, 4, is also visiting, reports the Vancouver Sun.
Holmes's visit puts rest to tabloid reports that the Hollywood couple''s marriage is heading towards splitsville. "Fed-Up Katie Leaving Tom," declared this week's cover story on Star magazine. The article went on to say the couple has been leading separate lives, with Tom hard at work with filming, and Katie returning to Ohio to spend time with her family.
However, Gossip Cop reported that Holmes's rep declared the article "absolutely false"
