Baichung Bhutia Named among Squad

Good news for Baichung Bhutia's fans he's back into national side for upcoming series against Pakistan in England next month. According to sources he was named among 32 probables.


Dropped for the World Cup qualifiers against United Arab Emirates (UAE) it is almost certain that the former captain will not only make the squad for the three-match series, but also captain the team as well. 


Baichung Bhutia said that, playing for the country is always honour  for me. I have donned the national colours for 16 years but I still feel excited whenever it comes to representing my country, he added.


Captain of the team Baichung Bhutia also said that, he is working on his fitness. For the past one year, I had remained injured and it deprived me the opportunity to achievement the chances in the Asian Cup.


Aberdeen International Football decided to send the under-23 team to England. Now added five senior players to the list of probables to strengthen the squad. 


Apart from  Baichung Bhutia his long time teammate Rennedy Singh, goalkeeper Subrata Paul, defender Debabrata Roy and striker Sunil Chetri are also to be the part of the 24-members team. 



The probable - Goalkeepers - Subrata Paul, Laxmikant Kattimani, Jagroop Singh and Ravi Kumar.

Defenders - Debabrata Roy, Raju Gaekwad, Deepak Devrani, Nirmal Chhetri, Arnab Mondal, R.Vishal 
Kumar, Abhishek Das, Lalrozama Fanai, Sabas Saleel, Gurjinder Kumar and Shouvik Ghosh.

Midfielders - Rennedy Singh, Jewel Raja, Shilton D'Silva, Gilbert Oliveira, Milan Singh, Jibon Singh, Subodh Kumar, Lalrindika Ralte, Snehasish Chakrabarty, Anthony Barbosa and Zakir Mundampara.
