Rana's Verdict out, Govt Investigations pending
Attorney of Pakistani-Canadian, Tahauwar Hussain Rana says that they would appeal against the court as there was some error in trial. Patrick Blegan, Rana's attorney says that he would file a case as there wasn't enough evidence to convict him.
The Chicago court jury found Rana, guilty of providing support to Lashkar-e-Taiba and for helping in a terror plot in Denmark.
Patrick Blegan says that the evidence is a secretly taped conversation between Rana and David Headley who was co-accused of 26/11 Mumbai Attack.
But there is a big contradiction in the evidence as Lashkar-e-Taiba was involved in Mumbai Attack but wasn't involved in Denmark.
On the other hand the Indian Government says another story, Our sources says from the Government sources, "Investigations can go on based on evidence available to our agencies, court Verdict must be respected."
Government sources added that, "We will get authenticated copy of judgement shortly, will discus the matter with concerned US Authorities."
