Tillakaratne Dilshan

Tillakaratne Mudiyanselage Dilshan, an aggressive right handed batsman right arm off spin bowler of Sri Lanka, born on October 14, 1976 at Kalutara, Sri Lanka. He has been played for Kalutara Town Club, Singha Sports Club, Sebastianites C&AC, Bloomfield C&AC, Basnahira South, Northern Districts, Delhi Daredevils and will play for Royal Challengers Bangalore for IPL 2011. In 183 ODI matches he has scored 4,621 runs with an average of 35.27, 8 centuries, 20 half centuries 160 top score. In 61 test matches he scored 3784 runs with an average of 44.00, 11 centuries, 14 half centuries, 168 top score. He is part time off spin bowler has taken 54 wickets in ODIs. Dilshan has won the award of T20 International Performance of the year at the ICC awards 2009 for his batting against West Indies in semi-final of World T20 in England, scored 96 for just 57 balls. Dilshan is capable batsman and contributes a lot to his team total as well as in bowling. He provides strength to Sri Lankan team’s field castle with his fine fielding skills and quickness.
