Thilan Samaraweera

Thilan Thusara Samaraweera right handed batsman and right arm off break bowler of Sri Lankan team born on 21st September 1976 at Colombo. Samaraweera started his career as an off spinner and wasn’t a batsman. But presence of Muttiah Muralitharan in team shaded his talent. Then he worked really hard on his batting and become an avoidable player. He debuted ODI career gainst India in 1998. He plays for Sinhalese Sports Club. In test his career he has scored 4024 runs with an average of 51.58, centuries 11, half centuries 21, highest 231. In 39 ODI matches he scored 705 runs with an average of 27.11, and only 2 centuries. He is used some time as a part time bowler but he is not successful as so. He has given good hands in some matches to win his team.
