Kapugedera the right handed opening batsman of Sri Lankan team born on 24th February 1987. He also plays for Colombo Cricket Club and Chennai Super Kings. He is capable of scoring at a good pace and also known for big hits. He is a part time bowler too. In his 8 test matches he has scored 418 runs with an average of 34.83, 4 half centuries and 96 as top score. In 66 ODI matches he scored 1207 runs with an average of 22.35, 6 half centuries and 95 as his personal best. He has potential but couldn’t do great in past years. Only a few of his innings lead him to get selected for this year’s World Cup.
