Dera Sacha Sauda is a non profit holy spiritual organization which was established in 1948 by Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj and then followed by Shah Satnam Singh ji Maharaj from 1960. On 23rd September 1990, Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj handed over the spiritual succession to Saint Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh ji Insan. The speciality of Dera Sacha Sauda is no gift or donation is accepted. Till now the organization has approximately 40 million followers all over the world. Every Religion and every caste is treated equally here. Dera Sacha Sauda has the world record in Blood Donation by donating 43732 units of blood on 8th August 2010. The society also have the record in Tree Plantation on 15th August 2009 by planting 6,873,451 trees in a day. Dera Sacha Sauda got the limelight with the Dera-Sikh clash which also leads to riots in North India. Dera Chief was charged in few of the cases from which he is free now.
