Akshay wants 27 crore to play Dawood in OUATIM sequel

It seems Akshay Kumar is getting pricey these days and has hiked his fee to Rs 27 crore for a role offered to him in the ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai’ sequel.

Well, Akshay aka Akki is aiming to be the highest paid Bollywood pin-up and when Ekta Kapoor approached him with the movie, he stated his new price.

Reports claim that the ‘queen of daily sops’ wanted Akshay to replace Emraan Hashmi for the second part of the blockbuster movie.

Says a Balaji source, "Ekta wants to take the sequel of ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai’ to the next level. She felt that Akshay would be ideal for playing Dawood Ibrahim's role. She likes the way Akshay acts and feels that he has a lot of potential for playing challenging roles.”

Owing to his skyrocketing prices, chances of Akshay doing the film seem to be very bleak, but Ekta has asked Akshay to rethink about the offer.

If things don’t work out between the two of them, maybe Balaji will have to give a serious thought as to who will play Dawood Ibrahim in their next.
